While not an official rebrand of Decatur, I aimed to highlight and celebrate my hometown. Located in central Illinois, the city has a rich industrial and agricultural history. I tried a few different directions, but I'm really happy with this updated take on the city sign! Not be outdone, I played with color and letterform on the other options as well. As a millennial, I felt the need to create an 80’s throwback in the final beach inspired design.
