Creating a collective patient-centered voice for the ALS community is the goal of the I AM ALS organization. The founder, Brian, is on a mission to help fund research, change policy, educate the public and cure ALS. For this engagement, I created a brandmark that was warm, humanized and imperfect. I AM ALS is building a community and making an impact that will be felt generations down the road. All work created while leading creative team in a previous role.
The logo features a hand drawn, imperfect texture. The name declaring “I am ALS” - showcases that we are all impacted and are part of a larger community fighting to live. The color palette evokes an uplifting spirit, separating I AM ALS from the noise and highlighting the forward progression of the organization and their policy efforts.
